It is a single source, integrated package that gives you the direct link with your computer and electronic controls. Utilizing a variety of field- proven components, the MAS is a complete valve controlling and monitoring system.

All accessories are located in one enclosure; solenoids, limit switches, feedback potentiometers, position indicator, positioner and set- point controller.

The modular accessory system eliminates a major problem that exists with the enclosure requirement for different accessories. In the past, many users had the need for specific enclosure ratings that meet weather conditions, explosion proof requirements or different types of agency approvals. It has been a costly proposition to provide accessories that individually meet such requirements. The most unique feature with the modular accessory system concept is that it allows the inclusion of all accessories into one housing where the housing itself is designed for N EMA 4, 4X, 7, 9 and 12.

Also, approvals* are pending for CSA, and UL, as well as European Standards. Since the standard enclosure carries all these ratings, the components do not have to. This means substantial savings in initial purchase price. The enclosure is constructed of die cast aluminum provided with an extra thick layer of hard baked epoxy paint. To one side an electric conduit is connected and, to the other side, pneumatic connections are made. The output shaft is a male shaft that gives positive engagement with the actuator, and is made from stainless steel for corrosion resistance. 

On top of the MAS package, a highly visible position indicator can be mounted. The position indicator has a rotating outer shell of high impact plastic that exposes the colors of the non-rotating inner cylinder. The indicator is self draining and does not use see-through plastic that can craze and get cloudy. Standard colors are black and yellow although other colors are available to suit user needs. 

The position indicator may be used alone on Worcester's Series 39 actuators or most rotary actuators for long distance viewing of valve position.
