End-Mounted Mechanical & Proximity  Limit Switches
For Series 39 Actuators

End mounted proximity and mechanical limit switches to meet the needs of today's automated and computer controlled process systems.

Worcester offers end mounted limit switch modules for all Series 39 pneumatic automation packages. This compact switch module comes in watertight NEMA IV or Hazardous Location versions: NEMA Vil (Class 1, Groups C & D) and NEMA IX (Class 11, Groups E, F & G). Standard mechanical switches have 2 SPDT switches. (DPDT switches are avail- able as an option.) AC proximity switches have two 2 wire control switches and DC proximity switches have two 3 wire control switches. This one module fits into the limit switch end cap of all sizes of Series 39 actuator and features a watertight attachment directly to the actuator that eliminates the need for linkage and the possibility of misalignment. Modules are available with either proximity or mechanically activated switches.

Advantages
  • End mounted switches don't contribute to the overall height of the automated package.
  • They leave the top of the actuator free for mounting an additional valve or device for manual override.
  • End mounted switches leave the top of the actuator clear so that a positioner can be mounted.
  • The actual switching mechanism can be specified as either a mechanical or "arc- less" proximity.
  • The switch housing is available in a NEMA 1, IV, Vil or IX enclosure.
  • There is no exposed bracket or coupling to corrode and break.
